Herbies Balinese Curry Mix 40gm

This Balinese Curry spice blend is based on a traditional recipe, made with a selection of high-quality fragrant spices that deliver a bright tasting curry with a hint of spiciness. 40gm.

BALINESE DUCK CURRY

•  1 brown onion pureed
• 2 tbsp peanut or vegetable oil
• 2 tbsp Balinese Curry spice mix
• 2 duck Marylands or 2 duck breasts trimmed of excess fat
• 400ml coconut milk
• 1 tsp gula melaka or soft brown sugar

1. Heat oil in deep-sided pan or wok and add onion.
2. Cook gently with spice mix 2-3 minutes.
3. Increase heat, add duck pieces and lightly brown on all sides.
4. Add the coconut milk and gula melaka.
5. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 40-45 minutes until meat falls from the bone.
6. Serve over rice or noodles.  (If using breast, it can be sliced into stir-fry pieces to reduce cooking time).

Serves 2.

Use this recipe with 400g chicken, prawns or vegetables instead of duck.
