Every now and then, something arrives in store that just makes me stop and sigh. It’s normally something a little old school. It just catches my eye and I simply know that it’s coming home with me that day. That’s exactly how it was when I first laid eyes on our first box of Emily Lex goodies when they arrived in store (I now own four watercolour books!)

The gentle hand-painted details, the way each piece feels like it’s been made with a whole lotta love — they’re the kind of products that make you want to pop on a pot of tea and sit down for five (or fifty!) minutes longer than you planned.

Watercolour Workbooks

If you’ve ever thought that you'd like to try painting, or looked at a blank piece of paper and thought, Well, now what?, these watercolour workbooks are your new best friend. Each one is filled with outlined sketches — flowers, birds, gardens, baking treats, even cosy Autumn scenes — ready for you to bring to life with some watercolour paints. Ps, my favourite at the moment is the Farm work book.

They’re spiral-bound (which means they sit flat while you paint), made with thick, quality paper, and small enough to pop in your tote. Beginners and wannabe artists, we’ve got you… They’re perfect for complete novices (no art degree required here!) but lovely enough for seasoned creatives to enjoy too.

They also make the perfect gift. Pair one with a little set of paints, wrap it up with a ribbon, and you’ve got a beautiful Christmas, birthday, or “just because” gift sorted.

Art Prints

Emily’s art prints are so sweet —  they're the kind of thing you’d expect to find in a light-filled coastal cottage or a cozy reading nook. Whether it’s a bouquet of wildflowers or a simple painted jug, each piece brings a bit of whimsy to your space. They are also great for kid’s rooms. Hunter, our wannabe farmer has the farm one hanging in his playroom!

In a world that’s always rushing, these products ask you to slow down. To pick up a brush, to send a letter, to hang something on the wall that makes you smile every time you see it. And that's exactly what I love about them!

So next time you’re in store (or having a scroll through our online shelves), have a little wander through our Emily Lex Studio collection. Whether you’re after a thoughtful gift, a bit of creative self-care, or something pretty for your home, you might just find that missing piece you didn’t know you needed.

So now there is only one question to ask... What's your favourite piece?
