We are Emma & Carla - sisters & the shopkeepers behind Martha's. In 2024, after 20 years of trading as The Essential Ingredient
Orange, we rebranded as Martha's Food & Home. At Martha's, we believe in
simple pleasures and living everyday moments full of good food, good wine and good people.
Our ever-evolving selection of food and wares have the ability to inspire life’s beautiful moments,
with collections by beloved brands like LE CREUSET, AL'IVE, FRANK GREEN, KOKO

So Who Is Martha?
Martha's Food & Home is named after our grandmother,
Martha. Born in Germany, she raised nine kids, immigrating to Australia in 1954. She is a woman remembered for her kindness, constant crocheting, and lentil soup (or lentil water as we refer to it!). So we felt it only fitting to name our little store after
her.
