Biographical note
Award-winning chef Steve Cumper cut his culinary teeth in Melbourne, and was at the vanguard of chefs travelling to work in Europe's Michelin-starred kitchens. He was a pioneer in the emergence of farm-to-table cooking, and now lives in Tasmania, where he champions hyper-regional produce. He has been writing The Country Cook, his monthly column for Country Style magazine, since 2009.
